NYSAR Real Estate Services, Inc., is a wholly-owned for-profit subsidiary of the New York State Association of REALTORS, which is a not-for-profit trade organization representing more than 49,000 New York State real estate professionals.
About the New York State Real Estate Education Foundation
The New York State Real Estate Education Foundation (NYSREEF) was created in 2003 to promote knowledge and professionalism in the real estate industry. As outlined in the Foundation’s bylaws, the purposes of the Foundation are to:
1. Provide scholarships for real estate education.
2. Provide educational or informational resources deemed to be of value to those in the real estate profession.
3. Fund approved services to raise awareness of real estate as a career and to foster excellence in the industry.
4. Carry on such activities and to deal with and expend Foundation property or income therefrom for any of the aforementioned purposes without limitation, except limitations as may be contained in any instrument under the terms of which property is received by the Foundation or any other limitations prescribed by law.
Until now, NYSREEF has focused primarily on providing designation program scholarships to NYSAR members who show positive motivation toward real estate education and prove their interest in furthering their real estate career.
Beginning in 2012, NYSAR Real Estate Services, Inc. will provide a scholarship fund, administered by NYSREEF, to award scholarships to the next generation of real estate professionals for higher education.

About the Next Generation Scholarship
Scholarships will be awarded on a regional basis in the amount of $1,000 per recipient. The number of scholarships available is dependent on the NYSAR membership count in that region of New York State. Regions with 5,000 of fewer total members are allocated one scholarship per region. Regions with 5,001 to 15,000 members are allocated two scholarships. Regions with 15,001 to 30,000 members are allocated three scholarships. This results in eleven $1,000 scholarships. Please refer to the New York State regional map below to determine the scholarships available in your region.
